I am a regular on the weekends at this little cafe, love their comfort mush. I get it and s biscuit. I eat the biscuit, and a little of the mush (scrambled eggs, grits, gravy, cheese, yummy) Always more than I can eat, but it's great the next morning too. If you are looking for great food and great service, don't miss this place.

Was in town for a wedding and starving. Had a great breakfast at this cozy, little place. The breakfast was sooo good, just what I needed.

Thursday morning, during the week of spring break. Walking in, we are the only people in the restaurant, which should be a huge red flag given the retirement community population. We ordered eggs, sausage, and "griddle potatoes" instead of house potatoes due to the other reviews we read. I would have preferred regular hash browns. The coffee comes in decent sized cups, so you don't have to constantly ask for a refill. Overall, it was edible, but reminded me of dorm food. I'd recommend Comfort Cafe only if you're in a hurry and the line at Beverly's is too long. Three stars due to the speedy service.

Definitely worth your time! My husband and I agreed had we not looked up reviews before coming, we would've skipped this place based on the look of the exterior. But, we were pleasantly surprised with delicious comfort food for very reasonable prices! Everyone was very friendly and kind, and the service was unbelievably fast! The only thing I would change is the decor and location.. But hey, you can't have it all :)

Nice little comfortable cafe near the beach..A-OK The service was beyond friendly and prompt...it's more like a 3.5 star experience because of that. The only problem was my food. It wasn't bad by any means...just generic. I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger was clearly a frozen or pre-formed Sysco type patty - which means it wasn't bad, but nothing special. Nothing beats a custom beef patty with added spice...the bun was nice though, big and soft. The fries were like the burger...seemed very Sysco oriented...all in all it was an OK meal, no complaints, but no foodgasm either. I will definitely come back to try the breakfast as well....

First time here about 9 this morning. Greeted by owner or manager when I walk in, then friendly gracious waitress says sit anywhere you like. Sit at front table facing the bay across the street. Coffee please, with blueberry pancakes. Would you like sausage or bacon with that? Sausage please. Huge coffee cup reloaded three times. Now this was a first, would you like to read part of the newspaper while you wait? Which part? Oh, any. Twin huge pancakes appear in about five minutes, with butter and syrup containers on a separate plate. Took me a while to go through this meal, quite filling at just over 10 bucks. Burgundy and white contrasting wallpaper pattern, plus ornaments and pictures that appear to be reproductions of antique painting makes for a striking decor. Antique-like burgundy wood tables accent this also. Welcoming decor here. Waitress brings your bill within a black folder, insert greenbacks and she will return with your change. Leave tip within folder. Owner/manager says goodbye have a good day when leaving, and so does waitress. She did mention to someone that this was her first day, so maybe she was outdoing herself. They deserve 5 stars for service, above and beyond.

Visited Friday morning after a walk on the beach and am inclined to not return. The service was friendly and personable. The coffee, very good. The restaurant was clean, but dark and dated. As for the food, I enjoyed the rye toast. Very disappointed with the omelette. I have never gotten a more burnt omelette in a restaurant before. I would have sent it back, but frankly, my companion's eggs were just as brown, so I knew it would be pointless to send the food back. The house potatoes were equally off the mark--unseasoned and drowned in too much grainy cheese sauce. All in all, we wasted 25 bucks for a horrid breakfast.

I went here this morning based on the Yelp reviews. What a disappointment ! Ordered the omelette with spinach, tomatoes and cheese. The omelette arrived with brown spots.,.as in it was over cooked !! Once brown spots appear, it changes the flavor and it's NOT good. The potatoes w/onions and cheese...I expected the potatoes to be topped with some cheese, instead it was swimming in a gelatinous cheese sauce that was flavorless. That being said, the coffee was good, the place was clean and the waitress was fantastic. Unfortunately, due to the bad food...won't be back :(

Cozy, extremely friendly atmosphere with excellent service. Super food, freshly prepared. I am extremely fond of their Comfort Breakfast with the cheesy potatoes. Lunch is delicious as well. I highly recommend Comfort Cafe.
